The original oil painting, 60 x 84 entitled Sunflower Sea was painted by Eryn Tehan, in February 2022.
A wave of wild sunflowers and lupine coat the hillside at the top of a trail in the Columbia River Gorge. Their petals begin to glow in the light of the setting sun. A cool breeze signals the moon is on her way, and birds announce the message in their evening song. The grasses and wild flower leaves rustle in the breeze as bees dart and hum to their work, creating a melody of peace and wonder against this stunning backdrop of endless wild flowers.
